It is never easy to be the person responsible for your pet as they near the end of their life, whether it’s from old-age or illness or injury— but they’re counting on you to do what’s best for them.

Sometimes, the best way to support yourself, so you can be there for them, is to develop your own game plan for how you might handle some common challenges and decisions pet-caretakers face as they go through the dying process.
